Just outside Neviano, in the flat golden light of Salento, there is a masseria that doesn't try very hard. It doesn't need to. Five bedrooms, an open-air kitchen, three acres of olive groves, a swimming pool that catches the afternoon sun, and exactly zero reasons to leave.

The bedrooms
Five rooms, each with their own mood and bathroom. Concrete floors, linen curtains, and a Hibboux mattress that makes leaving feel slightly unreasonable. Sleep here and you will understand why we named a whole brand after it.
The outdoor gym
Because some guests want to work out. And because doing it outside, in three acres of Puglian countryside at seven in the morning, is a different thing entirely from a hotel gym. Fresh air included. No membership required.
The land
Three acres of Puglian countryside. Walk it in the morning. Ignore it in the afternoon. Either way, it is yours for the week.
The rooftop terrace
Climb the stairs and the whole property opens up — the pool below, the land beyond it, the light doing something different every hour. A tiki bar in the corner, low sofas scattered for whoever wants to stay a while. Bring coffee up in the morning. Bring a cocktail up in the evening. This is where the day ends.
The pool
Set among the beautiful trees, the pool at Coucou is the kind you fall into at noon and don't leave until dark. There is nothing complicated about it. That is the point.
The outdoor kitchen
Open to the sky, with a wood-fired oven for pizza and a grill for everything else. Dinner starts here, when the heat breaks and someone opens the wine without being asked. Cook together, or just watch. Either way, you eat well.
The house, laid bare.
Some things don't appear on a floorplan. The smell of stone in the morning. The way the light moves from room to room between ten and noon. The particular quiet that settles over the courtyard in the afternoon. You'll have to come and find those yourself.

The house unfolds on a single level : stone floors, white walls, deep windows that track the sun from east to west. Five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Private enough that no one need appear until they are ready.
At the centre sits the kitchen and living room. Open, unhurried. The kind of space where mornings stretch past noon and evenings end later than anyone planned.

Up to ten adults across five bedrooms. There is room to be together and room to disappear — which, we find, is exactly the right balance.

The whole masseria: five bedrooms, the open-air kitchen, the pool, the land, and a Hibboux mattress in every room that will make you reconsider your own bed at home. The week includes one full clean of the rooms mid-stay. For guests who prefer a little more attention, daily light cleaning and breakfast preparation can be arranged for an additional charge — just mention it when you enquire.

Yes, both are available as optional extras. Daily light cleaning keeps things tidy without turning Coucou into a hotel. Breakfast preparation means you wake up to something worth waking up for — laid out and ready, using local produce. Neither is compulsory. Both are worth considering.

No permanent staff on site during your stay — that is intentional. Coucou is designed to feel like your own home, not a managed hotel. We handle the key handover personally on arrival Sunday, and we are always reachable if you need anything.

Yes. Coucou is genuinely well suited to families — there is space, there is a pool, and there is enough countryside that children can be children. Talk to us about your group and we will make sure everything is set up properly.

Yes, and the open-air kitchen was built specifically with this in mind. We work with trusted local cooks who know the produce, the recipes, and the difference between a good Puglian dinner and a great one. Just mention it in your enquiry.

No. It is cold in the way that a Salento afternoon makes cold feel like a reward. You will not mind.

Neviano village is five minutes away. Gallipoli and the Ionian coast are twenty minutes. Lecce is thirty-five. Brindisi airport is fifty minutes; Bari airport is ninety. Coucou is remote enough to feel like an escape and close enough that you will actually use it.
