This is Masseria Coucou. The original So So.
Just outside Neviano, in the flat golden light of Salento, there is a masseria that doesn't try very hard. It doesn't need to.
Five bedrooms, an open-air kitchen, three acres of countryside, a pool that catches the afternoon sun, and exactly zero reasons to leave.

Its own door off the garden, so nobody walks wet through the house.

The outdoor kitchen
A long counter under the shade net: gas grill, hob, sink, a wine fridge and stools for whoever keeps the cook company. The wood-fired oven waits at the far end for pizza night. Dinner starts here, when the heat breaks.
The rooftop
Climb the stairs and the whole place opens up. A tiki bar in the corner, low sofas, sunbeds. Coffee up here in the morning. Something colder in the evening.
The outdoor gym
Glass on three sides, cypress trees outside. Working out at seven in the morning in the countryside is a different thing from a hotel gym.
The land
Three acres of Salento with a garden pergola and lawns. Walk it in the morning. Ignore it in the afternoon. Either way, it is yours for the week.

Every bed at Coucou is a Hibboux mattress with linen we chose ourselves. We come from one of Europe's great bedding families, so we will not apologise for how long you sleep here.

Coucou is for groups who want to be properly together. Families who need space to be messy. Friends who need a table big enough for everyone. There is no reception desk and no breakfast person. Just us with the keys on Sunday, and a week that belongs to you.

Good to know
When are check-in and check-out?
Check-in from 16:00, check-out by 10:00. From June to September stays run Sunday to Sunday.
Can we bring children?
Yes. Coucou suits families: space, a pool, and enough countryside for children to be children. Tell us about your group and we will set things up.
What about pets?
Ask us. We would rather have an honest conversation than a blanket no.
Is there staff on site?
No, on purpose. Coucou is meant to feel like your own house. We hand over the keys and we are always reachable.
Can we hold an event?
Yes, intimate celebrations and weddings for up to 60 guests. Tell us about it in your request.
Is the pool heated?
Yes. It's heated, so you can swim from spring well into autumn.
